If I find a home for a dog which I know has bitten, & I tell the new owner that she has bitten, can they sue?
Sounds like you have a fear biter on your hands and any sudden movement will cause her to bite out of fear not knowing anything more than I'm scared that coupled with her lack of sight is very scary for her as well. You can't move quick or aggressively with them or that will be the reaction you get. I would try to adopt it out with a adoption formal package stating that the home she is going to has been mad aware of her disposition and is willing to take full responsibility for her actions from this date on. You have to be very careful phrasing your adoption agreement to release you from all liability. You also need to screen the home she is going to very carefully making sure they don't lie about having children etc. I know most people will say just euthanize her and be done with it, but I have rehabilitated several dogs in the past including a retired police dog that were afraid of their own shadows and trust me I've been bitten 4 times in 20+ years, you need to be sure if you adopt her out that the person is dog breed savvy. You should maybe check out your breed type before adopting another one again but bless you for adopting. I hope things go well for all of you.
