I'd like to use my computer to type in Burmese aka Myanmar script. How do I go about it?

I've searched the internet extensively for fonts, unicode, virtual keyboard etc. The only workable ( supposed to be ) lead I've got is from www.mister-kwai.com. Alas, even after d/loading the suggested package, I've not got the keyboard functional.
