My nephew has a huge mullet. How do I tell his mother to cut his hair?

I have this nephew in kindergarten and he has a huge 80's mullet. Even though very funny, I feel bad for him because I'm sure he gets made fun of alot. It is absolutely ridiculous and his mother thinks it is the coolest thing since hair bands. What do I do???
